Adopt a cat from SAZ

We know our cats. Some become your best friend immediately, others need a bit more time to warm up. Together we will find the cat that suits you.

We have cats looking for a home. From playful kittens to calm seniors, from social cuddlers to reserved cats. All our cats are placed directly from our own shelter — keeping stress for the cat as low as possible.

Which cat suits you?

Social cuddlers

They love attention and are always nearby. They purr as soon as you walk in and prefer to be on your lap. If you are looking for a companion cat, they are looking for you.

Calm, reserved cats

Not every cat is a cuddler, and that is fine. Some cats enjoy your company in their own way: being in the same room, watching you from their favorite spot.

Cats that need time

Some cats have had a rough start. They are somewhat distrustful or cautious, but with patience and love they warm up. This requires more from you, but the reward is great.

Duos

Some cats are inseparable. They grew up together or found each other in our shelter. These cats are looking for a home together.

How does adoption work at SAZ?

  1. 1

    Introduction meeting

We talk with you about your wishes, your living situation, and your experience with cats. This helps us find the right match.

  2. 2

    Matching

Based on our conversation, we suggest cats that fit your situation. You can meet them at our shelter.

  3. 3

    Trial period

After adoption, we stay in touch. Is everything going well? Do you have questions or problems? We are here for you.

  4. 4

    Aftercare

Even after the trial period, you can contact us with questions. A good adoption does not end at the front door for us.

Who are you adopting for?

Sometimes people come with a specific idea: "I want a young, playful cat for my children." Or: "I am looking for a companion for my current cat." But the question is: who are you actually adopting for? For yourself, or for your current cat?

Not every cat fits every situation:

  • Some cats cannot be with children
  • Some cats do not want other cats around
  • A reserved cat does not fit a busy household

We help you make the right choice. Not the cat you had in mind, but the cat that truly suits you. That is better for you and for the cat.
