A chip without registration is useless
Every week, rescue services pick up about 40 cats from the streets of Amsterdam. For 6 of them, no owner is found. Usually because they are not microchipped, or because the registration is incorrect.
Why microchip AND register?
A chip alone is not enough
The chip is a number. That number must be linked to your current details. Otherwise it is pointless.
Moved?
Update your registration. Otherwise your old details are linked to the chip and no one can reach you when your cat is found.
Indoor cat?
Especially then microchipping is important. Every cat should be chipped, whether they go outside or not. Indoor cats that escape panic and wander far away.

Is your cat already chipped but you are not sure if the details are correct? Come by or call us. We will check and help you get it in order.
A chip with wrong details = no chip.
Have your chip checked
Chips can break, shift, or not be correctly placed. Have the chip checked after placement, and again at every vet visit. Better too often than too rarely.

Have multiple cats? Or have difficulty traveling? We come to you. Less stress for your cats, easier for you.
