Sterilization: safer, healthier, better
A spayed or neutered cat lives longer, is healthier and calmer. Male cats will not spray and will not smell. And you prevent kittens that no one can care for.
Safer for your cat
Less roaming
Sterilized cats stay closer to home. Up to 90% smaller territory.
Fewer fights
No hormones = no territorial fights. Fewer bite wounds, abscesses and infections.
Fewer diseases
Cats that do not fight have lower risk of FIV (feline AIDS) and other infectious diseases.
Longer life expectancy
Statistically, sterilized cats live longer and healthier.
Prevent suffering
One female cat can have 2 to 3 litters per year. That is 10 to 15 kittens per year. They have kittens themselves. Without intervention, this grows exponentially. Most end up on the street: sick, malnourished, hit by cars. That is the reality for unwanted kittens.
